Good Negotiating Book: Getting To YES
I am just finishing up a book on negotiating called Getting to Yes: Negotiating Agreement Without Giving In. And honestly I’d have to say I had no clue about negotiating before reading this book. It is a definite recommended read.
At first it was kinda slow and boring compared to most books I read. But a little farther in and it just hits you. When you read this book you will have a whole new view on negotiation. Whether your negotiating a lease, a raise in salary, a dispute or anything else this book can help you.
I’m sure there are better books on negotiating out there and now that I have some interest in the subject I might read some of them. But this is definitely a good first read on the subject. It incorporates stories to help you get what they’re saying but I think there should be few more to really drive the concepts into your brain.
Overall I think it’s a great book and worth reading. Order it from Amazon here, or I’m sure you can pick it up at your local book store.
